What I would advise is mapping out each step you expect your lead to hit, each dropoff point and then each re-engagement opportunity visually. Have a full guide on how you expect your lead nurturing to work in an ideal world. Then start to map that to HubSpot.
Workflows is going to be the tool you will use most for this, figure out your triggers and actions and then customise them to suit your needs.
