I'm wanting to add the option to pay through Stripe through a HubSpot quote. However, the option keeps leading me to the Payments feature that is not yet available (I'm in NZ). Is there a way to use the Stripe payments option/checkout from quotes without having to use the payments feature?
Hi @jen_furr and welcome to the Community! In this article it says, If you have an existing Stripe account, you can connect it as a payment processor for HubSpot's commerce tools, such as invoices, payment links, and quotes. This enables you to collect one-time and recurring subscription payments through HubSpot while your Stripe account handles payment processing behind the scenes.
If it's not working, I'd look first to ensure you have the Stripe integration installed, then I'd contact HubSpot Support in your portal to see why it's not working. The integration should allow you to directly connect your Stripe account (I've seen it in portals done). So unless something changed recently, pushing you to HubSpot Payments would be unexpected behavior.
As a user in New Zealand, if you're encountering difficulties accessing the Stripe payments option directly through HubSpot quotes due to the Payments feature not being available in your region, there might still be a workaround. One solution could be to utilize Stripe's invoicing feature separately from HubSpot quotes. You can create invoices directly through your Stripe dashboard and then manually link them to your HubSpot quotes. This would involve generating an invoice in Stripe, copying the payment link, and pasting it into the quote document or communication with your client. While it adds an extra step and requires some manual work, it can still provide the convenience of Stripe payments alongside your HubSpot quotes. Additionally, keeping an eye on updates from both HubSpot and Stripe regarding their availability and features in your region could also provide insights into potential future integrations or solutions.
@jen_furr@danmoyle I have the same issue, we are based in the UK and the feature is not available. We do have a Stripe account but the only thing we can do now is embed the built-in Stripe link on our quote so that the customer can pay, but the customer can only access this link if they open the quote.
Is there a way to somehow "extract" this payment link and populate it by default in the email template sent to the client with the quote?
@MXydia I don't know of a way to pul the link autmatically and put it into an email like you would with a personalization token. I think it connects to your Stripe account, which is where I would look for the link. You could certainly copy and paste that into an email I would think. But the use case for payments and Stripe would be that you want the client to open the Quote and see the information held within, so I wouldn't think you'd want to skip that step.

This is not an uncommon request and one that saw a bit of discussion at the JAPAC breakfast at HubSpot InBound in September. We have developed a comprehensive suite of commerce tools that are built directly on HubSpot, featuring both Stripe payments and a bi-directional integration with Xero. We call our solution CommercePro, and I would love to talk to you about it. Have a look at my calendar here for a time that suits you for a quick demo and exploration call: https://www.engagingpartners.co/meetings/hugo-venter

I understand that you are in New Zealand and you would like to use the Stripe payment processing with quotes, but not use the payments tool (since it is only available in the US for the moment), is that right?
I'd like to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation @danmoyle, @Jnix284 and @Alex_Elborn do you know of other integrations or perhaps a way (via API or development?) to use Stripe payment processing without the payments tools to help @jen_furr, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation🙂
