I'm just starting with Hubspot Invoice and have it set up with Stripe as our payment processor. I've run a few tests invoices, but it seems the data Hubspot passes to Stripe for the transaction is pretty limited. In my case, aside from the customer name and email address, it doesn't pass anything else about the invoice - no invoice #, no invoice description, no product description.
Scrubbed screenshot below. As you'll see other systems we've got connected to Stripe have friendly payment descriptions, but the Hubspot invoice payment just displays the alphanumeric Stripe payment ID. Is there any way to customize this or have more control over the metadata that's passed to Stripe?
If you are looking to customize payment descriptions, it's advisable to check HubSpot's payment seetings and confriguations. In some cases, there might be option to enhance the data passed to stripe. Also, you can explore any advanced customization features within the HubSpot and Stripe. If still unable to find a solution I would suggest reaching out to HubSpot support.

Yeah, I've looked but unfortunately this looks like a limitation with Stripe integration where metadata cannot be customized. And the Stripe Data Sync integration app doesn't allow a bi-directional sync between HS and Stripe. That won’t work because it only pulls invoice data from Stripe into HS, not the other way.
As a user starting with HubSpot Invoice and utilizing Stripe as the payment processor, it's frustrating to find that the data passed from HubSpot to Stripe for transactions is limited, lacking crucial information such as invoice numbers, descriptions, and product details. This not only affects the clarity of transactions for customers but also impacts reconciliation and record-keeping on our end. To address this, consider reaching out to both HubSpot and Stripe support teams. HubSpot might offer customization options or additional integration features to enhance data transmission to Stripe. Alternatively, Stripe may provide insights or solutions to better handle incoming data from HubSpot invoices. Exploring these avenues could help tailor the integration to meet your specific needs, ensuring smoother transactions and clearer records for both you and your customers.

Hi @VictoriaGumaer - when someone makes a payment in Hubspot using Stripe as their payment processor, I'd like if Hubspot sent the Invoice ID and Product Name to Stripe and stored it in Stripe's Payment Description field.
This is a screen shot from Stripe showing where I'd like to store Hubspot data:
