As a reminder, the sunset of our free tools is quickly approaching. For full details, please see this post.
Please note: the Name to Domain API and Risk API will no longer be available for users on free accounts after April 30, as associated API keys will be deactivated.
We sincerely appreciate all of you who have used our free tools over the years. Thank you for being part of the Clearbit community.
I have to say this but your Buyer Intent (the replacement for the Top Visitor Companies feature in Clearbit) is so bad. It seem to pick up only a fraction of the visitor companies we saw in the free tool. We used it daily to see which companies were considering contacting us or interested to know more and we could fire out an email a day later.
Either I have got it setup incorrectly or some reason or another its way less sensitive to finding the corresponding companies visiting our site,
Hi Chris - Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding Buyer Intent coverage. The good news is the team is on it and the coverage will get better with time. For more information, please review this post on Buyer Intent results.
Confused to why you then released it knowing it so subpar to the Clearbit free visitor tool. Why not wait to sunset the Clearbit tools once the new Hubspot tool was just as good? Also you referr me to a thread from February, it's now May and the tool is still as bad as it was earlier in the year.
Hi--how can we know if we are on the free version? We have technically paid for credits but the user tier information in our UI says that we are on the free version.
Also, I am noticing a discrepancy between ClearBit Company Data and Company Visitor data in Hubspot. Is it possible to connect with someone on the ClearBit team to review how we can get this data in Hubspot.
The data is vastly different even when we remove all filters and intent.
Hi @FM22255 - Thanks for getting in touch regarding Clearbit access. I took a look at the email associated with your community account, and I can confirm you had two free accounts with Clearbit. I see you purchased Batch credits, which were used when you downloaded the Batch csv results. As of today, these two accounts will no longer be accessible.
I understand you're seeing discrepancies between Clearbit Company data and HubSpot Company Visitor data. Please know that Breeze Buyer Intent is a separate implementation and ultimately a different service from Clearbit. For more information, please see this community post regarding the differences between the two visitor tracking systems.
While there isn't a direct way to bring Clearbit Visitor data into HubSpot right now, the good news is that HubSpot's Breeze is designed to cover many of the features you might have used with Clearbit. It's great you're already exploring what Breeze can do!
I understand that changes like these can impact your plans, and we're here to support you through this transition. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or if there's anything else we can do to assist you.
Thank you for getting in touch. Would it be possible to go through Hubspot Breeze and how we can set this up so that we are getting the same data as we were in ClearBit?
Hi @FM22255 - Absolutely! We're happy to help review your Breeze setup. To best assist you with your Breeze setup, we recommend calling HubSpot Support. Additionally, I recommend reviewing this knowledge base article on how to use Breeze.
You also need to find a way to update this information for AI tools, as most of them still recommend Clearbit for data enrichment, even though it hasn't existed as such as a product for a while now. 🙂
Good point @dsecareanu - as far as I know, AI tools don't yet have a way to tell them "Hey, look at *this* instead of all of those previous articles about the same thing." I wonder if that capability will arise from necessity, as AI answers will get increasingly messy without something like that.
Not directly, but if the information is public and well-indexed by search engines, it will show up in AI responses as well. You can test what AI knows about Clearbit here: https://www.hubspot.com/ai-search-grader. 😉
