Can anyone help me understand how the Hubspot phone system will work in an office with users that are not Hubspot users.
We are new to hubspot and want our sales guys to be able to use the Hubspot calling system for screen pops, easy dialing and call recording. But we have other staff that will not be using Hubspot. We have an NEC VOIP system with deskphones we are currently using, that does not integrate with Hubspot. The sales guys will need to be able to transfer calls to others in the office. My preference was to stay away from an integration since they are not always seemless. What are my options. Sorry if this is too vague.
It's currently not possible to live transfer calls with the HubSpot phone system. I would recommend upvoting this related idea in the Ideas Forum and commenting on your use-case in the thread so our product team can take your feedback into account for potential product development in the future.
I wanted to refer you to the calling integrations in our App Marketplace. I would recommend taking a look through the library and seeing if an app could help achieve your goal of transferring HubSpot calls to non-HubSpot users as this functionality currently doesn't exist within HubSpot calling. This help article explains how to integrate a third-party calling app or custom app with HubSpot.
Who should I speak to about the functionality of the hubspot phone system? It seems this is an add-on to hubspot but there is no specific department to speak to about what the hubspot calling function looks like. For instance, how would I have known that you can't transfer calls or what the interface looks like?
If there is someone specific I should speak to, just so I know the capabilities, please let me know and I will call them.
It makes sense for us to use this, due to how well integrated the calling is and the fact that we have sufficient free minutes for our needs.
