sync contacts with google contacts with multiple email addresses issue
The one (and only) problem that we have with hubspot is the reliance on one single email address per person. As I'm sure you're aware, most people have 2,3 or even 10 different email addresses. As soon as a lead uses a different one new contact is created. Yes, they can merge into one but then they are unable to sync with google contacts. The solution would be to have one primary email but then have additional contact properties hard-coded in by hubspot, e.g. Email work/home/other. Yes, you can create customized properties but these are not able to mapped to those of google contacts + you can only use one address to track a person. Reading back through lots of threads, this seems to be a recurrent issue that really needs attention asap, are you able to assist please?
You are able to manually add multiple email addresses to contacts, so if a new contact is being created that has the email as secondary Hubspot will indicate that the email is being associated with a contact already.
Currently it is not possible to create a custom property that will accept email. We have an idea in our ideas forum where our customer is also requesting a similar feature, my recommendation is if you could please leave your comment in that idea so you can receive any upcoming updates about it.

But how does this work related to Google Contacts sync? Can's see a way to define which email to sync to Hubspot. Is there a way to define when you have multiple email addresses?
