"Lead Status" field is not showing in contact record.

Has anyone had a problem with the "Lead Status" field disappearing from the "ABOUT contactname" area of the Contacts screen?
It was there earlier today but now it is gone. See the screenshot below.
When I go to Settings-->Property Settings-->Contact Properties and search for "Lead status" it is there but shows "Used In" =0 . This is strange because it is a key property for every lead we have.
When I look at the "Lead Status" detail page it shows 934 leads have a value.
