phone number

Hi all,

CRM free

chrome

office 365

We have a distributor who sends us sales reports based on weekly orders. Some of these orders are from companies brand new to us. Of course, there is the legal name of the business, the dba and then sometimes the primary owner's name.  I could be searching and end up with unknown duplication.  As the phone number is a primary source, it would be helpful to search by phone number.

CHALLENGE-

phone number formats

1234567890 (least desirable format)

123 456 7890

(123) 456-7890

123-456-7890

123.456.7890

ETC

Anyone found:

an efficient way to bulk format phone numbers?

an efficient way to search phone numbers? (I have a filter and then sort where formatting gets in the way)

any thoughts? ideas? etc....

Thank you.

There a couple of ways this could be done:

The easy way, via an integration maintaining all future edits and additions:
https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/apps/marketing/analytics-data/phone-number-formatter

The manual/free way:

  • Via Google Sheets
  • Manually export vid, {{phone number column(s)}}
  • Then in the Google Sheet for the required columns
  • Format > Number > More Formats > Customer Number Format
  • (000)_0000-0000
  • Now re-import the resulting sheet back in to HubSpot

Disclaimer: I am the author of the above integration, and it is paid (though I've done my absolute best to keep it affordable). But it was very much built to help us internally avoid having to do repeated manual export imports across a number of our accounts.

@Dave_ Thank you. I will look at it.  Love that you are honest and upfront with the disclaimer.  Are the details in the link?

@jennysowyrda I love it when integration partners comment on posts and disclose it.  There are so many integrations and this is a great way to highlight.

@Dave_ working with you offline to see where we can partner. Thank you.
