manage multiple (bank-like) accounts for a single client

SOLVE

We serve both people (contacts) and businesses (companies): let's call them clients.

A client can have more than one "account": as if we were a bank, the same client can have multiple "accounts", can have a joined "account" with one o more other clients, etc.

Deals refer to a single "account" and there is no problem in the deal being associated to a single client: even in the case of a joint account only a single client has been part of the deal.

How could we define/manage the "account" entity?

How could we associate multiple "accounts" to the same client?

How could we associate multiple clients to the same "account"?

Hi @fametrano,

With a paid Sales Hub subscription, you'd have multiple pipelines and could simply create a separate pipeline for these account deals, yes. Just keep in mind that deals can't be associated with deals.

Hi Kartsen, thank you for your reply.

We use deals for withdrawl, deposit, buying or selling orders.

We use tickets for issues to solve and things to do.

Both are supposed to be relatively short-lived and closed/won/lost.

Instead, an account should be a very long-lived object that is not supposed to be won/lost or closed (ok, ultimately it will be closed).

We cannot afford an Enterprise subscription yet, so what could be our best option to model an account? A long-living deal?

Hi @fametrano,

Deals can be associated to multiple companies and multiple contacts – if generally using deals is an option for you, this would be the simplest way to go about it.

Alternatively the ticket object behaves the same way and can be associated to multiple contacts, companies, and deals.

If neither deal nor ticket seem suitable and you need a separate object in HubSpot, then this would require an Enterprise subscription. It allows you to create a custom object which you could call 'Account' and define how it's related to companies and contacts: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/use-custom-objects
