Hi, does anyone know if the items (name, quantity, unit price, margin etc) from line items can be used in workflows? We need to use this data in the properties of the deal in the left bar. Summaries such as TCV, ACV, ARR, MRR are not enough for us. I can't use line items individually in the calculation either. well thank you
I was able to set a deal property "Provider Seats" based on the quantity of line items using a workflow. If quqntity is known enrollement, and then an If/then for each individual count (1, 2, 3, etc.) to set the matching provider seat count.
We would like to update deal fields based on the line items from a quote/proposal. That way we have the most accurate representation of how we should classify the revenue by our different types of services/offerings. I can do everything I need, even reporting off this, except there's no way to get the line items to update the deal fields. PLEASE FIX THIS! @karstenkoehler
I would highly recommend you to please post this product suggestion at our ideas forum.
Our product team, who monitors the forum regularly, can read your specific use case and understand why this would be a useful functionality or change. It also helps other customers facing the same issue to advocate for its implementation on your behalf by upvoting on the thread as well.
Thank you,
Kristen

I went to look and there's one that has almost 150 votes sitting there (from more than a year ago) with no action from hubspot at all. Seems rather silly when there are other seemingly much less useful with less votes, items in the dev/beta phases.

We are loving accurate reporting of our MRR with deal line items - however, we have an annual CPI increase over several rolling months based on the client's country. The only way to auto create a deal is when creating a client, and line items are not included as an option to set/create in workflows. We would be more likely to upgrade/bring on other HubSpot subscriptions if this functionality was possible. Does anyone else have a workaround for this?
We have the same issue. We want to copy/capture the customized properties in line items/ product into the Deal/ Contact properties.
@karstenkoehler is it possible now in Hubspot? The only way I can see now is to use "if/else branch" to compare the properties in line items and then "set the value" of Deal/Contact properties
@twinloger did you ever find a solution to this? im looking to do a very similar thing where i need to give the line item quantity a weight depending on the deal stage.
Hi, I'm not the OP but I can talk about my own use case - I have two pipelines, and sales and a shipping pipeline. When a deal is closed in my sales pipeline, I have a workflow setup to create a mirror deal that is added to my shipping pipeline, where I can add shipping info, tracking numbers, etc. I really want to be able to copy over line items to this mirror deal so that I can trigger workflow actions in the shipping pipeline based on what product the customer ordered.
I think all the issues related to associated objects are very problematic. It's like Line Items / Products live in a different world from other objects? For us it's very important to be able to automatically create Deals when someone submits an order. Those deals also need to have the correct Line Items and at the moment that's not possible.
in line items I have created an item that has a unit price and quantity. Hubspot will only calculate their total amount. We do business in the energy sector, the margin is important to us and not the total amount. I created an individual calculation that calculates my margin and the total volume of electricity supplied. Now I have to enter the data manually. If I could, for example, copy the quantity from line items via workflow to another properties, I can use this data in the calculation and calculate the margin automatically.
