importing non HS Form

Hi,

We have a webpage that collects contact info including marketing preferences. Our page also acts as an account creation with password. Hubspot inports the contact deatils but marketing preferences comes up as an error, Are we able to map this soehow or do we have to use PAI to create what we want? 

This is what Hubspot reports:

This value wasn't passed to the Contact record. 'please_let_us_know_if_you_would_like_xxxxxxxx_to_contact_you_to_offer_you_advice_and_possible_savings_on_this_quote_we_will_never_share_your_information_with_third_parties_and_you_can_opt_out_at_any_time_' isn't a Contact property.

if you are using non-HubSpot forms, HubSpot automatically tries to map form fields to your existing contact properties using logic in the following order: 

1. field name with contact property internal name
2. field label with contact property name
3. field label with contact property internal name
4. field name with contact property name

You have to still keep in mind that non-HubSpot form fields can not match with other field types than single line text.

The contact details are transfered to HubSpot because the naming inside your external form is likely the same as the HubSpot contact properties name. It seems like HubSpot just can not fight the "brother" to your property called "please_let_us_know_if_you_would_like_xxxxxxx_to_contact_you_to_offer_you_advice_and_possible_savings_on_this_quote_we_will_never_share_your_information_with_third_parties_and_you_can_opt_out_at_any_time_"

You could test this by creating a new contact property with that name.

From what I understand, you have contacts filling out a form and agreeing to communication, but the agreement value is not passing to HubSpot.

We will need to know a bit more about the form they are submitting. Is this a non-HubSpot form? How are you passing the other information like their name and email to HubSpot?

This context will help us better understand how we might be able to pass the value.
