importing contacts without company domain

Hello there,

I am test using HS now and i'm trying to import my first list of contacts. It seems HS doesn't allow me to import without domain names and our clients lots of them don't have a website so there's no domain name to use. how can i fix ita screen shot of my excel format

Just to clarify, HubSpot uses the unique identifier as a way to manage duplicated contacts. As such, we will deduplicate contacts if there are 2 contacts sharing the same email address or 2 companies that are sharing the same company domain. If you're interested to find out more, you can take a look at this knowledge base article here.

For your case, it is certainly possible to associate your contacts with a company even if it doesn't have a unique identifier. For instance, it will be possible if you are looking to import your contacts by the following fields:

• First name
• Last name
• Company name

What you will need to do is first create these companies in HubSpot and export them after to collect the Company ID, that will after associate in your Excel file using this method : https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/import-objects#import-one-file-with-multiple-object-types
