I've set up the contact to only display info fields I need to capture for each contact. If I log in through a web browser and add a contact, then it works. How can I get the mobile app to do the same?

Agree. Also since the business card scanner does not (yet?!) allow capturing more information than the standard 6 fields , this could a workaround to complete your contact data. Currently I don't see how to complete this information for contacts that have been created by sales reps based business card scanning.
