I type in his email address and it says it already exists. It does, because the person is my co-worker. But I HAVE NO RECORD of my co-worker in my contact list. I need to track my communication and tasks with the co-worker. I can't do that without a contact record.
I searched for him using his email address and I find lots of Notes... but no contact record. So, I can't ADD it to my contacts.
I'm stuck. I've used Hubspot for several years and never had this problem before.
This sounds like this contact record may already be created but you do not have the permissions to see it. You would have to reach out to an admin in your portal and ask them to either extend your contact access permissions or simply assign the contact record of your coworker to you:
