After transitioning from Zoho to HubSpot, we've had a positive experience overall. However, we've encountered an issue where all our contacts are displaying the current date, rather than their original creation date from Zoho.
We expected our contacts and deals to maintain their original creation dates from Zoho.
Furthermore, we've noticed that only a few of our contacts have associated leads, with approximately 85% lacking this crucial linkage. This discrepancy is concerning. Does anybody know how we can efficiently migrate the remaining leads from Zoho to our contacts in HubSpot?
We recently migrated from Zoho to HubSpot as well. HubSpot create date property of an objects is set automatically and can't be changed. You would need to create a custom property like "Create Date Original" and populate this by the Zoho Create date. In addition you would need to setup a workflow that copies the HubSpot Create date into this new "Create Date Orginal" property (see printscreen).
For the second question. Have you imported your Zoho Leads as HubSpot contacts? I always recommend importing a unique Zoho ID URL custom property to enable new import that can update and complete the missing data.
Hope this helps!

The Problem with the Create Date Property on Contact Object is it's Read-only! That means it cannot be edited in any way - However, this is not the case with Deal Object where Create Date is Editible
So a Workaround solution is to Build a Custom Property "Zoho Create Date" and then Import Your Dates In That property - I know it will be a hassle to manage two different create dates for a while in your reporting though.
Associated Lead Problem( I am Assuming the New lead Object and not deals Here):
What you can do here is create a custom property on the contact record that implies that a lead should be associated - update that property via import and then use a workflow to generate leads for those contacts in Bulk
The reason is you cannot import the new "Lead object"
However, if you are talking about contacts not associated with deals - then you have to ensure there is a common property between contact and deals to get them associated with each other (I normally copy the Deal Id on the Contact record so I can later use it for Associations)
