You can deactivate these notifications. Click the settings icon and select Notifications in the left sidebar. Scroll down to Tickets, expand it and uncheck "Ticket assigned to you":

This did not work for me as I have had Tickets > Notification Topics > Ticket assigned to you (Get notified when a ticket is assigned to you) unselected for a many a moon, but still get notifications like the following, when I too assigned them to myself:
