Workflow to populate Contact dat property with Meeting date

We would like to add a date property to Contacts and populate it with the date of the initial meeting with Sales (Call & Meeting Type = Initial Sales Meeting).  We've tried creating a workflow triggered by a meeting being booked but got an error saying there were no trigger properties available.  Can anyone suggest how we might do this without using coding.

Hi @CAdams21,

If you want to reference event properties, you would have to click "Edit available data" below – and include activities as a data source.

There you could select the activity date of the last activity updated. The risk here is that this could be something else than the meeting – this ambiguity can currently not be ruled out.

Alternatively, simply enroll records based on 'When filter criteria is met', then filter on associated activities where the meeting type corresponds to your desired meeting type and where activity date is more than 0 days ago. The date won't populate until the meeting date has moved a few seconds into the past.

Thank you Karsten. 

This is certainly a useful feature that I was not aware of and we could use it to identify the first meeting that was held with the contact, but it will not necessarily be the specific meeting type I'm looking for.  I will keep trying - now I know about this extra feature perhaps I can do it another way.
