Workflow to create deals with contact to contact associations

MikeDavis

In our business, we usually have two contacts involved in closing a deal. We have set up a workflow to create a deal when a lead (prospect) becomes effective, but we need both contacts to be associated with the deal, not just one.

We have already tried associating multiple contacts with the same lead, but the deal is always created with only one contact, which is the primary contact of the lead. This also doesn’t work when we use a lead-based workflow with the option 'Associate new deal with contacts associated to the enrolled lead.'

So, is it possible to add an option in a contact-based workflows that allows us to associate all contacts with a deal when it is created through a workflow?

Hi @MikeDavis,

Yes, you can associate multiple contacts with a deal in HubSpot workflows by adding a step to create associations after the deal is created.

Try this,

1. In your workflow, click + to add an action.
2. Choose CRM > Create associations.
3. Select Contacts and set it to match your criteria (e.g., based on the company or contact ID).

This will automatically link both contacts to the deal when it's created.

I hope it helps, let me know if you need to talk!

Hi!   With all the recent updates, is this still possible?

If so, do you mind sharing the new steps?

Thanks!

Hi @KhushbooP11,

Thanks for your help! Just to let others know, this feature is still in beta. First, go to Product Updates, search for New Workflow Actions for Associations, and apply. The option to create associations in Workflows should appear a few moments later.

Best regards
