Why do contacts get marked as 'Finished' in a sequence

SOLVE

Hi @MRaulas ,

In HubSpot, a contact is marked as “Finished” when they complete all the steps in a sequence, even if they didn’t reply or book a meeting. It simply means the sequence ran its full course from start to end.

If a contact replies to an email or books a meeting during the sequence, they’re automatically unenrolled and marked as “Unenrolled”, not “Finished.”

So in short:

  • Finished = the contact completed all sequence steps without replying.

  • Unenrolled = the contact replied or took another action that removed them early.

If you’re trying to follow up with contacts who didn’t engage, filtering by “Finished” is a good place to start.

You can check out these HubSpot resources for more details:

Hope that clears it up!
