What is the contact creation limit in the free plan?

One of my friends is exploring the free plan, and in a recent blog, he saw that in the free plan, HubSpot CRM has an unlimited contact creation limit (1 million contacts).

But, when he tries to import contacts, he is seeing a 1,000 contact limit.

I'm not sure if anyone has the answer, please let me know how I can help him.

The 1,000 contact limit is correct. As far as I know, the 1 million contact limit does not apply anymore.

What about internal leads whom I don’t want to send marketing messages to and want to use as non-marketing contacts? Is it possible to add unlimited contacts in this case?
