What about managing relations with other than contacts and deals?

SOLVE

Hello,

any CRM alloews to interact with a wide range of people which are not necessary contacts but simply prospects (after receiving a phone call that becomes a prospect for me), business partners, collaborators, employees and so on.

It seems it's impossible to manage ALL kind of business relationship with Hubspot CRM like it happens with Zoho or Vtiger.

How is it possible?

What should I do when i receive a simple phone call from someone visiting my web site and asking for info? it's not a contact, it's just a basic call with an unknown person which is not qualified as a contact.

Moreover, how can I track all other business related activities which belong to other than simply sales?

How can i deal with affiliates and so?

I don't understand, so any suggestion is welcome.

Thanks

Paolo

Hi @paoloercolani

One thing HubSpot has that I have found helpful is the Lifecycle Stage contact property, which lets you filter contacts into different stages, such as prospects or contacts. I'd check out the Lifecycle stage user guide as a starting point. Using lifecycle stages will let you put all of the contacts in your portal so that you're not losing valuable information when people call in, but also you'll be able to filter down to only look at people who meet a certain criteria.

For tracking other business activities, you can log activities to contacts/companies/deals timelines. There are a lot of ways to go about tracking this information. I'd start by going through the CRM User Guide.

I hope that helps!
