Weighted Lead Rotation app ( give some salespeople more leads than others )

I am not sure if this is allowed here, @hubspot on Twitter referred me when I asked about it.

I have developed an app for hubspot that allows you to add lead rotation to your workflow with the ability to give more leads/preference to top salespeople, and less leads to new or underperforming salespeople.

I would like to know if there is an interest for such an app and get ideas on the best way to market it.

Hi, @stephan213. You may want to reach out to the folks at the connect program for more information about this, in general. While your standalone app doesn't explicitly fit that program's definition, they may have some advice that could help.

While I'm not sure about HubSpot-only customers, you may get some traction with Salesforce-integrated customers of HubSpot. Their needs, in general, can be more complex than HubSpot-only users and may benefit from knowing about your app. (There's also a fairly sizable marketplace for this in Salesforce; we use an installed package called Distribution Engine in our production org to help with this sort of task. Going to Salesforce's AppExchange to investigate similar solutions, and who they're marketed towards, may be a help.)

I'm probably wrong. I may not be right about that.

Welcome to the jungle @stephan213

Is it a HubSpot integration?

One way to market your new app would be to let us see it. What's the website? How does it work (e.g., configurable options)?

Note: Please search for recent posts as HubSpot evolves to be the #1 CRM platform of choice world-wide.

Hope that helps.

Be well,
Frank

Hi Frank,

It is not an integration ( however it could be )

You simply need to authorize the app by telling it your API key, it will show you a list of your users ( salespeople ), you choose the ones you want to add for rotation and the weight.

Default weight of 1 would be equal rotation, weight of 2 would be 2 leads for every 1 the others gets, etc.

In your workflow where you normally add the built in lead rotation, you would change that out for a webhook to the URL where our app is hosted.   ie http://app.yourdomain.com

I'm with you on this. If this is in the wild it would be amazing.

I have written a little php script that does this...  let me know if you interested.

You can lease it for $50/month or buy it for $500

Is this lead rotation app still available?

Yes, it is a php app that uses the api and webhooks so you need to make sure you have a high enough plan with hubspot that allows API access and webhooks.

stephan123 I'm interested in your solution. Does it work with Marketing Pro?

Hello @RubenRios  In order to create Webhooks you need to have a developer account, and for that have no additional price. To have access to the portal to create Webhooks, you need to have an Enterprise subscription; and is currently the only subscription that allows Webhooks (since is the highest plan).

I hope this information helps.

Kindly,

Pam
