I have an existing property that is used in 1000s of entries that really should have been made unique from the onset.
Is there a way I can circumvet this? Any recommendations on how to migrate data for example to make the change?
It is an important change as from calling the data using the APIs it means the difference between a normal call by Id Property vs a Search, with the latter having harsher API limits.
Currently there isn't any way around creating a new property, as the tool tip says. You would have to create a new one, then use exports/imports or "Copy property value" actions in workflows to migrate the information into the new property, before updating all of the assets that are referencing the property manually. For 1,000 places where it's used, that's definitely not fun but I'm not aware of any other way. These types of restrictions in HubSpot can typically not be bypassed.
Best regards!

Hi there, following up on this request. I decided to archive and delete my custom property and then recreate it with the same identifier. Unfortnunately, it doesn't let me create it again.
Could you help me out to create it again and set it to 'unique'?
