Using third party email signature applications.

SOLVE

We are a small UK based audio visual systems integrator at around 20 people.

Currently, we use the free subscription version of HubSpot.

For some time now, we have used the Exclaimer Office 365 email signature management tool, to add email signatures to all our outbound Outlook emails. I am sure the use of these 3rd party email signature applications is very common today.

To deliver a consistent signature across all our outbound emails, we recently tried to use the Exclaimer signature app with HubSpot.

Firstly, we deleted the HubSpot email signature, which we had previously created and had been using.

The Exclaimer application does indeed add our 'designer/branded signature' and it seems to work ok, however the emails 'sent' from HubSpot still seem to pick up and add to the sent email, some elements of the (now deleted) HubSpot email signature.

When viewed by the email recipient, these elements look unprofessional, and we want to remove them.

The screenshot below precisely shows the elements we need to remove from the sent HubSpot emails.

If you have experience of using 3rd party email signature clients with HubSpot and have resolved similar issues, please let me know how we can remove these unwanted elements and get on with the rest of our lives! 🙂

Many thanks in advance.

Mike Channing.

Hi @MChanning ,

One of the pitfalls of using free software is that most include provider branding/advertising.  Upgrade to the Starter Customer Platform, which is cheap enough at $15/seat , and the HubSpot branding goes away.

I do have one further question around the use of third party email signature apps.

We are using Exclaimer.

When I send an email from HubSpot, the Exclaimer app adds our agreed corporate signature to the outbound HubSpot email.

However, while doing so, it looks like it is 'opening' the outbound email, in order to add the signature. Of course this means that I get a HubSpot notification that the email has been opened!!! Which messes with my ability to understand when one of my emails is 'actually' opened by the recipient.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix or a work around please?

Thanks again.
