Using an external email to update prospect status

Hi

 

I wonder if you can help?

We are developing a SaaS product to help business owners and marketers to create a comprehensive marketing strategy and initially we want to add a prospect to the CRM and then update the prospect using emails from the SaaS product so that we can trigger workflows in the CRM to Add the prospect, set the status and then a month before the 3 month trial comes to an end to set off a chain of emails from Hub spot so that we can onboard them as a paid user.

Can anybody point me at any documentation that would show me how to do this?

@PeterKUB this sounds like a conversation that's more than "here's a document with the instructions." Instead, I'd go through the HubSpot Academy Marketing Software Course. This will give you a big picture idea of how HubSpot works, and you'll be able to set up what you're asking about.
