I have a client who is on SHP. They want to ensure that the deal amount cannot be manually updated i.e. it should always equal Total Contract Value. I have created a workfow that will work once that essentially sets the amount value to equal total contract value. However, I can't workout how to re-enroll deals into this workflow? I have tried creating an active list that includes all deals where total contract value is known and used that list as an enrolment trigger. However, it doesn't seem to be working.
Any ideas on how I can get this working? Ideally, the amount will update as soon as someone manually changes it.
I would simply enroll deals whenever "Amount is known" (re-enrollment enabled), then copy the value from total contract value into amount. This means it might run unnecessarily sometimes but ensures that after any change to the field, it'll simply change back.

To keep the deal amount always matching the Total Contract Value, here's what you can do:
Create a Workflow: Set up a workflow that automatically copies the Total Contract Value into the Amount field.
Enable Re-enrollment: Configure the workflow so that deals are re-enrolled whenever the "Amount" field is updated. This means if someone manually changes the Amount, the workflow will adjust it back to the Total Contract Value.
This way, the Amount will always stay in sync with the Total Contract Value, even if there are manual changes.
I would simply enroll deals whenever "Amount is known" (re-enrollment enabled), then copy the value from total contract value into amount. This means it might run unnecessarily sometimes but ensures that after any change to the field, it'll simply change back.
