Update Tickets with Associated Company

resolver

I would like to add an Associated Company to each of several hundred tickets in our HubSpot database. I've tried to do this with an Input file (downloaded from HubSpot and amended in Excel) but it seems like there isn't an appropriate updatable field in the Tickets table.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Update Tickets with Associated Company

Hi @stuartSWAAY,

An associated company would be a relationship/association, not a ticket field. If you want to associated existing tickets and existing companies, you would have to:

  1. Export all tickets
  2. Export all companies
  3. Add a column to each of these files which serves as a key (e.g. tickets 1, 2, 3 have the key A, company 1 also has the key A, upon import tickets 1, 2, 3 will be associated with company 1)
  4. Start an upload with multiple files by mapping the files using this key column

You can find examples of this here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/set-up-your-import-file#multiple-objects-with-associations
