Unable to create new contacts in Hubspot

Hello,

We are trying to reimport some contacts in HubSpot as fresh contacts. To achieve this, we deleted the existing contacts and then reimported them using a CSV file.

However, after reimporting, we noticed that the contacts are not being treated as new and their previous history (such as marketing emails sent, opens, and clicks) is still present.

We’d like to import these contacts so that they appear as completely new records with no prior activity or engagement history.

Can someone please guide us on how to achieve this?

"If the contact is restored, [...] will be restored." This cannot be disabled, as far as I can tell.

A permanent delete would not be advisable as this would not let you recreate the contacts.

Have you tried deleting contacts from the bin before re-importing? This is unfortunately a manual, contact by contact process: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/restore-deleted-records
