Troubleshoot email logging

I am using HubSpot CRM with a connected Gmail inbox within the Chrome desktop browser. I have installed the HubSpot extension for Chrome browser.

I have seen that some of my emails between me and contacts are not being logged even though the "Log" checkbox is checked. Entire conversations are being lost.

Please can you advise how to fix it?
