Tracking changes to Contact Attributes

Is there a way to track and report on changes to Contact attributes on demand, daily or weekly basis? We would like to generate a report to track changes to attributes like address, email, phone #, etc?

Hey @THellebuyck11, thanks for reaching out! This is a really good question.

You can always jump into an individual contact record and view its property history to see what was updated when and by whom/what, but it sounds like the "Last modified date" property is the closest thing to what you're asking for.

Looking at this HubSpot Knowledge base article:

• Last modified date: the last date and time that a property related to the contact was modified. For example, if today a user logs a call from the previous day, the Last modified date property will show today's date.

That won't necessarily tell you which specific property was updated, just that something on the record was changed.

This is helpful if I want to check a single record. However, I am looking for an audit summary report on any change for any contact record (any attribute) for use to ensure that the corresponding data fields are updated in our Agency Management Platform. We are in the process of implementation a data integration effort via the Hubspot API but would find this type of audit/ data validation extremely useful to be sure that changes are being synchronized across our enterprise application stack.

There aren't any report options for contact property value changes, unfortunately, but you could export a property's history if you want to cross-check your data sync: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/organize-and-export-properties#export-a-property-s-historica...

You wouldn't have a HubSpot report but an Excel file as a report. You'd have to export this per contact property.
