We are building a campaign with 2 branches that depend on the specific link click from the first email. The first email has 2 options for click (X and Y). If the user clicks X, we want to send him to the first branch, same for Y. The catch is that those links are with dynamic properties inside and HubSpot doesn't recognize them.
In the workflow I am unable to see the URL past the dynamic property part {{ property }} and the differentiator in those 2 links is after the dynamic property. Meaning that HubSpot doesn't even locate the second link as different because the first part of the URL for both of the links is the same - /accounts.
My question would be - is there any way we can set a filter to track the clicks for these specific links or any workaround that might work?
You're correct, in list filters, HubSpot ignores parameters in URLs. There are two ways to work around that:
Create a CTA in the CTA tool, then place this CTA in the email, as opposed to creating a button in the email editor directly. Once the CTA is a separate asset, you can reference it in workflow and list filters: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/ctas/create-calls-to-action
Clone the website page and have two separate, but identical pages so you can differentiate the URLs in workflow and list filters.
I'm not aware of ways to make link click filters check for link parameters.
Best regards!
