What is the difference between the 'Total Contract Value' and 'Amount' properties? I understand that Amount is the total value of the deal and the Total Contract Value is the total value of the deal based on the line items associated to the deal, but in what cases would these numbers be different?

Here are the definitions:
The deal amount can be set to different calculations, which can but doesn't have to be the TCV:
