Thoughts on aol.com, yahoo.com contact email domains?

SOLVE

Currently helping a friend of mine clean up their CRM, I noticed that there is a fair amount of aol.coms and yahoo.coms, and in my past expierience I have noticed these emails domains to be either unengaged or just inactive. Based on this past, is there any way I could filter them down to find which ones are inactive, or would it just be better off getting rid of these contacts with those domains (lots of these contacts with the aol, and yahoo domains were added in 2020 and before). Thank you for any feedback!

Thoughts on aol.com, yahoo.com contact email domains?

SOLVE

@MMeister one suggestion for handling these domains would be to create an active list that specifies whether a contact's email domain includes aol.com or yahoo.com, then add additional filter critieria for engagement.

You could use last email open, last activity date, etc. to narrow down who should stay and who should go.

Start with a longer time frame and see how many fall into the 3 year category (haven't engaged since being added in 2020 or before) and go from there.

This would prevent you from removing someone who might be new/engaged while still cleaning up the outdated contacts.

Hope this helps!
