Tasks completed not registering as "Contacts Worked"

Hi,

One of the key metrics for us on Hubspot CRM is the Contacts Worked. However, despite marking a number of tasks "complete" which had been given a type of "Email", these do not appear to be registering on the Contacts Worked number.

Is there a reason for this, or alternatively, a better metric to use?

The contacts worked report is the total number of contacts who were contacted via a sales engagement (call, email, or meeting) during the selected date range by the selected team member. Engagements must be logged in the CRM to be counted here. It is currently expected that marking a task as completed will not count as a being worked.

Hi, is that also the case when a contact method type is logged on the task (Email / call, as opposed to 'To-Do)?

If so, if using the task queue, do I have to tick the task and also log a call / email before moving onto the next contact?
