This may not need tagging in the HubSpot definition, but I need a way of when a proposal becomes a deal, then adding something to that relevant contact pr company to signify they are a client - I could do it in notes but could not then select a view for clients, ex-clients etc which I would like to be able to do.
it is standard in HubSpot that when a contact/company has an associated deal the lifecycle stage is set to "Opportunity". so if you want to know all the contacts/company that you had work/quoted in the past, you should filter Lifecycle stage is Opportunity.
If that deal ended up closed one, the lifecycle stage property is set automatically to Customer. (again, if you want to filter: Lifecycle stage is Customer)
The difficult part comes to differencitate active customers from ex-customer. Here you can create a custom property to set this values. Or a date property with the end service date.

'Tagging' Contacts?

Thanks 🙂 if I'm trying to be as 'smart' as possible here, the lifecycle stages would seem to be the best way to go? So where do I go to edit lifecycle stages? Can't find the option
