Surfacing a historic property

SOLVE

Hi Gang!

I need some help!

Does anyone know of a way to get the historic property saved in a field out?

So the client hosts several events that the same person can register for, but the field only holds the latest one. The property history shows all events registered, and I need to somehow show the client a list of contacts and all the events they're attending.

I cant use CO as they are a small charity! And exporting the property history is a no go as this is a list that would update daily.

the 'have ever been' filter is useful, but will again not SHOW the events that a person has registered for...

Please help!

Hi @TonyDowling,

You could probably simply log this to a Google Sheet via Zapier?

Hi @TonyDowling,

You explored all of the options for a single-line text field (?) already. For one-dimensional properties, it is what it is. If you want to be able to see the history at a glance, a multiple checkboxes property would be a better option.

Whenever a new webinar is held, it would be added as a new value in the multiple checkboxes property. If you have workflows, this value could be appended in whatever workflow is handling the registrations.

The migration from the previous field to a multiple checkboxes property would be a bit tedious but not impossible, either via the property history or the "has ever been" filter in lists.

Let me know if I should go into more detail.

Best regards!

Thanks, Karsten - I don't have workflows to play with either 🙂

Would you know if we could build something to display for this precise use case? Some sort of webpage powered by the property history and the filters as you say?

A one-off cost then, rather than having a recurring subscription increase

Thanks for the reply, I knew I could rely on you!
