Subscription preferences property

SOLVE

Hi,

Is there a property I can reference to show each contacts subscription preferences in reports. Ideally as a count of contacts per subscription type?

I want to cross reference this data with the "Legal basis to process..." property.

Unless I'm not looking in the right place, there doesn't seem to be a built in property.

With the absene of a property in mind I wonder if I can set up a workflow to activley monitor all contacts and that modifies a multi  select property for each subscription type.

Thanks

Subscription preferences property

Hi @matttunney,

You're correct, there isn't anything available out of the box. A custom property is the way to go and yes, this can be achieved by workflow.

However, workflow solutions are prone to error during HubSpot outages. These are rare but then things can get out of date and messy.

My preferred approach for a property that reflects a subscription opt status is a score property. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/set-up-score-properties-to-qualify-leads

For an opt-in, award 1 point. For an opt-out, remove 1 point. That way, opted in contacts will have the value 1, not opted contacts 0, opted out contacts -1. This makes it easy to filter or report on this.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
