In the legacy form editor, click into the consent text box and then you'll see the information in the left sidebar:
If you don't have a consent element on the form, no subscription opt status is being set. (You can add it via the left sidebar → Other form elements → Data privacy options.)
Steps are similar in the new editor:
Again, if you're not seeing this, no subscription status is being set. (You can add it via the + in the left sidebar → Other → Data privacy.)
