Is there a way to divide the base company object, and all of its associations, into grouped custom objects? We have several distinctly different and hierarchal customer types, often related to one another with a parent <> child relationship, with distinctly different facts for each type, and would like to split them. They all currently reside stacked together within the base "Company" object, leveraging a Copmany<>Company association. This however is confusing, and leaves a lot of fields null for companies of both the parent and child variety. I was recommended to look into kicking off a workflow to migrate the parents into a new custom object, but I seem to be unable to inherit the current parent company records associations. I want a true exact copy of all current company record where the company type is of the "parent" variety without any data loss. Please advise, thanks!
Hi @NHosler and welcome, we are delighted to have you here! 🎉
Great question, thanks for asking the Community!
I understand that you want to copy/transfer all the parent companies and their associations into custom objects. Please let me know if that's not the case.

Thank you for responding, and yes we are trying to move all of the parent type Company Object into a seperate Custom Object as the parents have different facts and figures that we would like to track and represent than their children companies. I tried to create a workflow to copy over all Companies of the parent type into the new Custom Object, however I realized that I did not have all the same associations, and we would like to make this change without any data loss. When I went to update the associations for the new custom object that would hold the parent companies, I could not generate all of the same associations I see in the Data Model Overview for the base Company Object, namely to Quotes and Leads. I am new to HubSpot and unsure the best way to proceed. We recently upgraded to Hubspot Enterprise in order to facilitie this data model update, so any advice is greatly appreciated!
Also, I would recommend connecting with HubSpot Technical Support, as Support is included in your subscription and they will be able to provide real-time assistance for this matter, including hopping on a screenshare if necessary.
Have a great day and thanks so much!
Best, Bérangère
