I am a bit confused on how to do this and how to search for it afterwards. I imput my data manualy and I would like to add to my contacts info where I got the contact from. Was it a specifica trade show, was it at a meeting etc. I tried adding this infor to the message property field that comes as default to contacts. So if I write Aviation Trade Show 2018 and then I would like to search for all contacts that I spoke to during that event, hubspot won't show me the contacts. Any tips or ways I could do this ? What I used to do when I used excel was by simply writting #aviation2018 and then if I see the same contact during another event I would add to that, #aviation2018, #aviation2019 and so on. I then would simply search for the hashtag and all contacts with that hashtag would show up. Would it be possible for me to do this with hubspot and how can I do it? I would like to have a field to add the source loctaion of each contact intereaction I have so I can search for it later. Some contacts will have more than one source. Many thanks!
You can create custom fields to store this kind of information. Given what you have said about seeing contacts a multiple events, etc, you are probably looking at either a multiple checkbox-type field or a multi-line text field.
If you have the Enterprise-level product, you can choose for custom multi-line text properties to be made searchable.
If you don't have Enterprise, this information can not be made searchable, but you can still create dynamic views using them.
