Setting revenue share of deal value

SOLVE

Hi All,

I am a partner in a sustainability advisory firm and we are looking at CRM tools and we like the look of Hubspot. We'd like to know if it is possible to set a Deal/Project Value ($), but also note the revenue earned by both the ead Partner (managing the project) and the Company.

EG. Project Value $100,000

Partner Revenue: $7,500

Company Revenue: $2,500

It would be great if this could created as a % of the deal value.

Thanks in advance

Damian

Setting revenue share of deal value

Hi @damianrward

You could set up a Product Library and use Products to represent – and report on – your Deal.

If you created a Product for "Partner Revenue" and another Product for "Company Revenue" and added them to the same deal you'd get a total and you could report on Product Sales.

Would that work for you?

Mike

Setting revenue share of deal value

Hello @damianrward,

HubSpot lets you create additional fields (so called custom properties) and one of the field types is Number which can be formatted as a currency, see here. Using the free CRM, you would create one custom deal property for Partner Revenue and one for Company Revenue, these fields would have to be maintained manually.

With a Professional or Enterprise subscription of HubSpot, you get access to the property type Calculation which you could set to 'Deal amount * 1.25' for the Company Revenue field and 'Deal amount * 1.75' for the Partner Revenue field. HubSpot would then automatically populate these fields whenever the deal amount is known or updated.

Once created, you can customizing the deal view (sidebar) and highlight these two new fields, explained here.

Hope this helps!
