Set a repeating task with a workflow

resolver

Similarly to a setting tasks to repeat when manually creating a task, (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/tasks/create-tasks#set-tasks-to-repeat-sales-hub-or-service-hub-starte...) we need to create a task with a workflow that will repeat automatically. Currently the only way to create a task like this is to manually create each task individually, quite cumbersome.

Hi @MSwartzentruber,

While it's not recommended, you can create loops by setting up two workflows:

1. (Re-)enrol contacts in a workflow 1 based on membership in a static list

2. Create the task

3. Remove contact from static list

4. Enroll contact in workflow 2

5. Delay contact in workflow 2 by desired interval

6. Add contact to static list (thus triggering step 1 again)

This doesn't work well with months (as the interval is not exactly 30 days), unfortunately. Days, weeks and years are not an issue.

A recurring task feature for workflows would still be a good idea and valid request. I'd recommend posting in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community. The product team reviews these requests based on their popularity.

Hope this helps!

This does not seem to be possible now. The workflow editor recognizes that it creates a loop between two workflows and does not permit it.
