Hi, I have a question about email sequences and how they can be managed from Deals.
We get new leads via a form on our website - these get added as Contacts to our HubSpot CRM.
When these new leads have been qualified (by phone and/or one-to-one sales emails) and when they express interest in receiving a proposal/quote from us, we create a new deal for them.
From that point onwards we work the contact primarily in their associated Deal object in the Deal view, no longer the Contact view.
We have created a one-to-one sales email follow-up sequence that we enroll contacts in after we have sent them a proposal.
We enroll these contacts in this sequence from the deal: Deal > Emails > Create Email > Sequences.
We then combine this with 1 or 2 follow-up phone calls. If we manage to get a contact on the phone to discuss their proposal then we need to unenroll them from the sales sequence that they're currently enrolled in.
The issue we have is as follows:
It's not possible to see, from the Deal view, whether or not a contact is currently enrolled in a sequence. The Deal Activity timeline doesn't show this.
It is also not possible to unenroll a contact from a sequence from the Deal view, like it is from a Contact view.
The result is that my team are mistakenly leaving people enrolled in an email sequence that is no longer relevant/appropriate. This is also causing confusion for clients.
A workaround is for me to get my sales team to always open the Contact record associated with a Deal to unenroll the contact if necessary, but that's not ideal.
Am I missing something here? Is there a way to see or associate an email sequence with a Deal, considering the sequence was initiated from a deal in the first place?
