Salesforce Account Contact relationships and association labels

Hi!

I'm looking into a certain part of the HubSpot and Salesforce integration.
In Salesforce we have multiple contacts connected to accounts. The relationship is given a name like 'primary', 'normal', or 'technical' contact.
Now I want this association label to be copied into HubSpot, because we want to target all companies/accounts that have technical contacts. We already have the option to connect multiple contacts to companies & vice versa. We can also set up association labels manually.
Anyone having a best practice on this? Is the current solution doing it via the API or are there even more simple solutions?

Thanks in advance!
Thomas

Found this in the documentation, still would be nice if it could be added.

But 1 contact/email can be linked to different companies. So then you can’t create one field setting the type of contact? Because for company A my@email.com is a normal contact and for company B my@email.com is a technical contact.

Hi @thomasvbe hope you are doing well.

You can sync this to HubSpot using the Persona/Buyer Persona property

or buying role, or even having a custom property of your own.

It is a best practice to use any of this options when having multiple contacts per company.

Your are on the right track.

If your are syncing both ways, just be sure if you are doing company<>account and lead<>contact

Hope this helps

Thx for the fast response @Lucila-Andimol! 1 small remark I forgot to mention: contacts can be linked to multiple companies/accounts. If you sync it with a property the problem can arise that a contact is a technical contact for one company, but also a normal contact for another company.

Thx

Thomas

Sorry,

what I meant is you sync lead to contact in HubSpot

but you use properties to identify if the contact is technical/owner/accounting/etc.

Lets say that the Type of contact is a property of the contact that you create.
