Sales Pro CRM Import Settings by user type

SOLVE

Hi there- completely new to Hubspot so apologies for the rookie questions!

1. I am trying to set up so that select users can import CRM records by bulk while others can only add contacts individually. Is there any way to achieve this?

2. How do I set that a company status can only be changed by certain users. Like a set of approvers/ admins

3. I have a Sales and Marketing team - what is the best way to create a group setting for our sales team, to control contact and company (and deal) level visibility.

I know the questions may seem basic but any advise is much appreciated!

@AllyClee the toggle only refers to this type of import: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/import-and-export/import-objects

Without this permission, users would still be able to manually create contacts: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/create-contacts

Good day Karsten,

For question/issue 1, in the manage permission setting, i can only toggle the Import on or off.

Ideally, I would like to allocate select users to be able to import bulk, and select users can only import individually and not by bulk. Is this possible on the Professional subscription?

Thank you

@AllyClee what do you mean by bulk import vs individual import?

Hi @AllyClee,

Happy to help 🙂

  1. Yes, when you edit a user's permissions, import permissions are under CRM > CRM tools: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/manage-user-permissions
  2. Field level permissions are an Enterprise feature: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/restrict-view-edit-access-for-properties - it looks like you're on a Professional subscription. Here, it's either editing everything on a record or nothing at all. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/hubspot-user-permissions-guide#crm-objects
  3. This would be managed through permissions as well: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/manage-user-permissions - in the CRM > CRM objects part of the user permissions, you can specify the access each user should have to contact, companies, deals etc.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
