Sales Emails Sent from gmail connected team email are not recgnized as sales emails in hubspot

SOLVE

hey,
when i send 1-1 sales emails from gmail connected inbox (team email), the emails sent are not recognized as sales emails , but when i send them from hubspot hosted other email addresses with a forwarder, they are regarded as sales emails, but when i send from gmail connected channels they are not recognized as sales

Hey @Cna11 

 

When you send an email directly from Gmail (connected account), HubSpot logs it as an email activity but doesn’t always tag it as a “Sales Email Sent.”

 

This is primarily due to:

HubSpot considering “Sales emails” to be emails sent from the CRM tools (HubSpot sequences, one-to-one emails from the HubSpot inbox, or logged/forwarded emails with the HubSpot tracking code).

Gmail-sent emails, on the other hand, (even though connected) often get logged under “Email” activities, not “Sales Email Sent.”

What this means for you? Your workflow trigger condition (Sales email is sent) won’t fire when the message originates in Gmail.

Hi @Cna11 

 

What exactly do you mean by "are not recognized as sales emails"? What are you trying to - apply a filter or or use event triggers?

 

Generally speaking when you send from GMail, the HubSpot plug-in just sends a copy of the email into HubSpot.

i have applied a trigger that if sales email is sent-- and my contact is not getting enrolled because it is was sent from gmail address -- but when sent from hubspot hosted address it recognizes as sales email sent
