Sales Accepted Lead and automated workflow

SOLVE

Hi,

In my previous organization, I used to work with HubSpot. Once the Business Development Rep scheduled a meeting with the sales executive and the sales executive confirmed that there was a project and a next step, they could accept the deal by selecting "Sales Accepted Lead" and choosing "YES." There was also a second field called "Accepted Sales Lead date" that accompanied this process.

I am curious to know if these fields are still available in HubSpot, specifically at a deal level.

Additionally, if these fields and this option exist, then I would like to inquire whether it is possible to set up an automated workflow that prevents the Sales Executive from accepting a Sales lead without first providing the Deal Amount and Deal close date and another workflow, that will automatically push the deal to another pipeline when all the above would have been completed and saved.

If the above is not possible anymore, I am keen to know what would be the best process to achieve this.

Thank you very much for your understanding and precious help.

Kind regards,

Alexis

Sales Accepted Lead and automated workflow

Hi @AMoinon,

These fields sound like custom properties, not default properties. If you want to create them, you can do so by following these steps: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/manage-your-properties

It also sounds like that property may have been a Lifecycle stage. In that case, HubSpot automatically maintains a date along with each Lifecycle stage value. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/create-and-customize-lifecycle-stages

Have you been maintaining the sales acceptance information on the contact or the deal level? If you were on the deal level, then yes, this can be managed with deal stage required properties: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-deals/set-up-and-customize-your-deal-pipelines-and-deal-stages#dea...

Sales Accepted Lead and automated workflow

SOLVE

Hi @AMoinon,

The link I shared about required properties does not refer to a workflow. This is simply a pipeline stage setting. You would set up the property "Sales accepted lead" and "Sales accepted lead date" as required property for a specific deal stage. Unless filled out, the deal would not be able to move. No workflow is required.

If you want to automatically move a deal from one pipeline to another when "Sales accepted lead" and "Sales accepted lead date" are filled out, then yes, this can be done with a deal-based workflow. Simply enroll deals when "Sales accepted lead is known AND Sales accepted lead date is known", then use the "Set property value" workflow action to move the deal to another pipeline.

Sales Accepted Lead and automated workflow

SOLVE

Hello Karsten,

I want to express my gratitude for your prompt response.

The fact that the ''Sales Accepted Lead/Deal'' property is not a default option clarifies why I couldn't locate it in my new company. However, the possibility of creating it as a custom property addresses my request, confirming that it is feasible to have a ''Sales Accepted Lead/Deal'' property at the deal level, enabling the sales executive to accept the deal.

Regarding the automated workflow mentioned in the link you shared, I am thrilled to learn that we can easily set up a workflow associated with the above property. This will ensure that the sales executive updates the desired fields and other necessary properties before being able to click the save button.

Could you please confirm that once all the above steps are completed, and when the sales would click ''SAVE', another automated workflow could automatically transferred the deal to another pipeline? Specifically, from the Business Development pipeline to the Sales Pipeline - (which are 2 different deals dashboards).

Once again, thank you for your time and assistance. I truly appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Alexis
