SQL MQL- Lifecycle or Lead Stages

lösung

Why are SQL's and MQL's part of the customer life cycle and not a lead status? Are there any tradeoffs if I modify the Lead status to add "Qualified" after connected?

SQL MQL- Lifecycle or Lead Stages

Hi @rfranks263, a good question and asked commonly enough that HubSpot created a blog post to answer.

Here is the link: How to Manage Your Sales Process in HubSpot With Lead Status.

In summary they recommend using lifecycle stage as a broad category. If marketing consider this lead qualified mark them as MQL. If sales considers this lead as qualified then upgrade the lifecycle stage to SQL.

But within this category of SQL you might want some sub categories to more precisely describe what is going on with the lead. That is where lead status comes in.

All the best,
