SMS Associated Contacts

Hello! Trying to tie SMS associated contact to the internal contact activity feed. The logged SMS is only tying to the external contact. How do I add the internal contact as an additional associated contact and tie it to their activity count?

Can you clarify how you define an internal contact versus an external contact? Are these different object types in your CRM? Feel free to include screenshots for context (excluding any personal or private contact information). The better we can understand how these contacts work in your CRM, the better we can evaluate how activities can be associated with them. 

I also recommend reviewing how you can associate activities with records.
