Roll-Up/Look Up Properties?

SOLVE

Is it possible to create a roll-up property with the new custom formula feature?

For example, we have a company tier property under the company object, and when a deal is associated, I want the property known as Associated Company Tier to display the value existent under the company object.

Is it possible to accomplish this using a custom formula/calculated property?

Got it. I don't believe the custom formula in the report would do this for you. Workflows will still be your best option to get that value to show on the deal record.

Also note, that if you're on Ops Hub Enterprise, you could use Datasets to get this into reports!

Understood. As mentioned, a workflow will still be your best option.

Hi @Sidds,

I may not fully understand what you're looking for here but this should be possible with a cross-object report using the custom report builder. I don't see the need for a custom formula in this scenario. Maybe with a couple more details, I'd suggest a different approach though.

Sure happy to explain more, maybe with screenshots

We have the following property on company object

And the following property on the deal level

What I am trying to achieve is that on deal level the tier property automatically gets filled (like a rollup property)

at the moment this is being copied via workflow from company to deal

Hi Sidds
Perhaps you can use the new Sync property

Hey @Sidds

do you mean that you want to update the Company Tier (going up)

when something happends with deals?

(Because what I understood previously was easy as to copy info from a company property to a deal property)

Maybe you can explain a bit more...
